Helping you…

Your choice!

Can you help anyone?

Nothing means anything!

His Responsibility

Monthly Magazine -January 2007

Your choice!

You can lead a contented life with a few thousand rupees per month for a worldly living. Or you can choose to grumble that Rs.60000/- per month is not enough. The choice is yours.

If you sit with a clear mind and calculate, you will understand that your monthly budget never crosses a few thousand rupees. But, instead of being happy with what you have, you crave to fritter away your money, amassing possessions, eating food that leads to ill health, drinking and making merry and landing yourself in a spate of medical problems.

Sundaramoorthy Nayanar puts it beautifully, ‘You granted me the Vision of Your Lotus Feet that none has known; it is I who wandered into vices;
the fault is not Yours’.

What has God not done for us? We have the blessing of good vision, hearing, uninterrupted breathing; God has given us worldly relations to take care of us. We have a comfortable life. The only reason for our dissatisfaction is that we are not rich. Analyse the life of rich people and you will understand you are better off. In most rich families, the man drowns himself in drinks in the bar, and when he gets home in a drunken state, he has only the servant to attend on him - - the wife is away at a club! Where is love, then? And what for money, if there is no life?

Money is really not a required commodity. God knows what we need and He gives us all that is required. Like a child in its mother’s arms, give yourself upto God, in a state of total surrender and you will never have to ask for anything in life. He takes absolute care. But it must not be a conditional surrender, ‘You do this for me, and I will surrender to You’ - - this is actually a bargain. Your surrender must be total, ‘Whatever happens, be it good or bad in worldly parlance, is no more my concern. I have given myself up to you. Now, even if my lifeboat capsizes at mid sea, it is Your choice to let me drown or to lead me ashore’.

Attain this state of mind. And be true to yourself, do not do just because I said it is good for you, but practise this surrender with absolute faith, trusting that ‘God is my Refuge; He takes total care of me’, then you will see miracles happening in your life every minute.

Imbibe that conviction and witness your life becoming a miracle.

Hold on to me always. Never let go of me.

Wealth, possessions fade away and are lost with time;
what remains is your effort and resolve to be established in Truth. The honey in the Lotus flower attracts honeybees from a far distance, but
a frog reclining on the stalk fails to receive it. It is your good fortune that has brought you to Me at the right time. Proximity to Me might cause lethargy to creep in, snatching this golden opportunity away from you. My request to you is: please cease to be frogs that fail to relish the honey despite being near the Lotus; Be the honeybees that drink the nectar from the Lotus
