Steer Clear

You feel nauseated when someone stinks, don’t you? There is no reason to tolerate such things - - if you are really concerned, you can tell them ‘please cleanse yourself because the entire atmosphere reeks of the smell’. Similarly, why must you tolerate gossip that is also pungent in nature? Do not allow it anywhere near you. Be very clear in your outlook on this - - if a gossip monger walks up to you and starts his/her chatter, tell him/her very frankly, ‘Baba does not like gossip. Let us talk of God or of our service. We have come to progress in life and let us concentrate on that.’ Steer clear of gossip and I will stand by you, whatever be the consequences you reap.

I know everyone, I know what is happening in this organization on a second by second basis, to every minute detail. I am not a physical human being. I function from within you, as your conscience. So you must understand what I expect out of you. You have all the potential to evolve into your noblest best. And I want you to evolve totally. Do not ever put yourself in a situation that will hamper your progress. Instead of wasting time in idle gossip, do some service or meditate or listen to music or chanting.

Grow. I want you to.

Learn to work hard. This is the Karma yoga that Lord Krishna advocates - - serving without expecting any type of result. Even if people ridicule you, do not react. We are serving God, and that is all that is required for our growth. Do not expect recognition. If you crave for recognition, that is not karma yoga. M´õ£Œ M´õ£Œ M¬ù ò£¬õ»«ñ. Do your duty. God will take care of the results. When you mellow this way, you will blossom into noble and dignified personalities. One day the world will respect you for your divinity.
